The Weekend in Review – 6 years!

This weekend Eric & I celebrated our 6th anniversary.  It is quite unbelievable that it has been six years.  Time has truly flown and we have had such a wonderful time so far.  I reflect on the past and smile, and look to the future with excitement.  And I am thankful that God gives us each new day together.  What a gift Eric really is to me.

We celebrated by having our first real “away from Hailey” time.  We recruited my parents to babysit, and believe me, no arm twisting was necessary there.  And we headed out for a little shopping and a lot of eating at the Star of India.  We also finally made it for some cakeballs from Holy Cacao, although we came home too full to eat them!  We enjoyed our time out, but were definitely anxious to get home and be with our little boppy.  Upon returning home, we fought over who held her the rest of the evening…which was a pretty tough fight with Grandma and Papa still there.

After another great weekend with my hubby and daughter, I again conclude that life is good.  Marrying my best friend truly has made for a beautiful ride.  We have gone through so many joys and pains together over our six years of marriage and 15 years of friendship that I know we each know the other better than we each know ourselves.  And the amazing thing is, we still love each other.  We still love Fridays, because we get to spend the weekend together and hate Mondays, because most of the day is spent apart.  We still love to eat like children and discuss the depths of theology.  We still hold hands and we still disagree.  And we still are a great team.  Thank you, dear, for the best six years of my life.  I love you!
