Returning to Normal

Well, two weeks later and life has somewhat returned to "normal"… whatever that means.  My surgery was a complete success.  It took some additional recovery time due to extra incisions and one extra-large incisions, but we are all pleased with the results.  Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

Life has now returned to being about Jango.  We working on his training and he is doing well.  He took a nice run last weekend at my parents house chasing deer while being chased by Eric & Todd & I, but decided to end his pursuit when he was cornered in the woods by a fence.  He slept well that night (as did Eric)!  So we are trying to teach him to wait at the door and get permission before he goes through it.  Training a dog is quite similiar to caring for our 11 mo. niece, they are both learning no and we are learning how to distract them from whatever object they want, but cannot have.

We also had an amazing night at the Melting Pot.  Eric took me their for my birthday.  I had been once in NC with my friend, Stacy, who worked there.  But the new one in Austin was even nicer.  The food was incredible, we could not stop eating, even though we were done after the first course.  And they gave us both a glass of champagne to celebrate my big day!  We highly recommend it, although it is a splurge.

So, again, we are returning to "normal"… whatever that is.
