Greetings from Post-Op 16

As I write this, Kim has just been taken back for her surgery.  We arrived at the surgery center at 11:45 this morning for a 1pm appointment, but the doctor’s previous surgery was "unexpectedly complicated", so there was much waiting for Kim and I (it’s now 4:30p).  We’re very thankful that they went ahead with the surgery and didn’t send us home.

Kim took her IV needle like a champ, which is great, because this was probably the biggest anxiety going in.  Not much else to report yet.  Post-op room 16 is nice enough (my temporary accommodations while I wait for Kim).  My laptop is plugged into one of those important-looking red wall outlets, along with various health monitoring equipment, so hopefully I won’t get into any trouble for borrowing their electricity (and open wireless access).

That’s all for now.  Will update more when Kim comes our of surgery.  Thanks much to our friends and family for your prayers.
